Q: Why does the site say your name is Kingdom Concepts if your church name is Set Free Word Fellowship (SFWF)?
A: kingdomconcepts.org is the ministry website of Set Free Word Fellowship. The name, Kingdom Concepts, stems from a series by Apostle Joe that discusses how Yahweh’s kingdom is intended to operate. The idea is that our ministry is focused on operating in the fullness of the kingdom of Yahweh and the concepts He has built his kingdom by. Our church name is Set Free Word Fellowship, but we also go by Kingdom Concepts.
Q: Why do you use the terms Yeshua and Yahweh?
A: Jesus and God are the English translations of Yeshua and Yahweh (which are their Hebrew names). We are not purists, in the sense that one must use their original Hebrew names. In fact, we use both commonly. We do, however, try to make an effort to use their original names due to various reasons. One being that the name ‘Yahweh’ separates the Christian God from any other god, because the definition is not a broad one, as it has become in English. ‘Jesus’ is of Greek origin, and in actuality derived from the pagan source of Isu. We do not feel it is wrong to use the more commonly known names. As stated above, we use both of them commonly. These are just some of the reasons we use their original names.
Q: Why do you use the term ‘Apostle’ instead of ‘Pastor’?
A: By definition, an apostle of Yahweh is a messenger, or ambassador, of Yahweh – even Yeshua is referred to in this way: "Therefore, holy brethren, who share in a heavenly call, consider Yeshua, the apostle and high priest of our confession. He was faithful to Him who appointed Him." (Hebrews 3:1-2). As with the names Yeshua and Yahweh, we do not get hung-up on the verbiage one uses. Our Pastor/Apostle will answer to either, or you could just call him by name.
Q: What is the ‘Berean Study Group’ (BSG)?
A: BSG is our Wednesday night home study group, for ages 20 and up. in Acts 17:11 it reads, "Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. " We have adopted that name because, as the Bereans, we are eager to examine the scripture. Each Wednesday night we meet at each others homes (new locations weekly), enjoy a meal provided by the study groups host, then read over and discuss the scripture. We have a daily Bible reading program that we encourage our church family to read, whether they attend the BSG or not. We upload the calender to our site monthly. BSG meets every Wednesday night at 7pm. Locations vary.
Q: What is ‘Youth In Motion’ (YIM)?
A: YIM is the teen ministry drama team of SFWF. We hold ‘Youth In Motion Coffee House’s’ on the first Saturday of every month, unless otherwise announced. Our youth group meets every Wednesday night at 7pm at the church.
