Greetings Sons and Daughters of the Most High,
Acts 10:1-2 “There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, an devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always.
There is a testimony that we can obtain if we so desire. Many have a witness but is it the type of witness that truly gives glory to Yahweh? Cornelius was such a man. His witness went ahead of him and made provision for his blessing that was to come.
Cornelius was a Gentile. As we have come to realize Gentiles were not a part of the original covenant but obtained mercy because of persistence. Thank God for persistence!!! His testimony was that he “feared God”. There is no greater testimony that anyone could have than this.
The book of Ecclesiastes declares for us, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is the whole duty of man.” I wonder sometimes if we truly understand that this is the most basic principle that we could ever live by. The fear of the Lord is not a dreadful type of fear but rather a reverential type of fear.
Cornelius’s testimony was such that he had made provision for himself and his household to receive salvation. Salvation not only came to his house but it came in an abundant fashion. He and his family were the recipient’s of a blessing that was unparalleled by any other in the entirety of the New Testament.
Have we made provision for our own household? Are we to be the recipients of something great as Cornelius was? These are the questions to be considered today? Have we positioned ourselves in the “fear of God” (Yahweh)?
My Prayer & Declaration;
“Father, We on purpose position ourselves in the fear of the Lord. We will have a reverence for you that is not to be compared to anything this world has to offer. We set ourselves in a position to receive what You have in store for us. In Your Holy Name……AMEN!!!
Grace and Peace be Yours,
Dr. C. D. Randolph
